Bluetooth Proximity Marketing

"Proximity marketing" is the term now being used worldwide, as an overall name or paraphrase, for the sending of short range messages to mobile devices, using "FREE TO USE", Bluetooth or Wi-Fi technology. As its name suggests it is a short range method of communicating with mobile phones via push and pull technology. Don’t be fooled by hype from over zealous sales companies, who boast of huge ranges of their "Bluetooth marketing" devices. The true range involved when discussing "proximity marketing", is about 75 feet or in metric terms about 25 meters. This is the maximum range of any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone currently in circulation in the UK. "Proximity marketing" can only work if the unit sending the messages, can "handshake" (pair) with a mobile device for a two way transmission. This means that the phones short range capability governs the "handshake process" and the all important connectivity range of the Bluetooth cell created by the sending device. In areas where multiple sender devices are grouped together, the effective range can be increased as your clients mobile phones will have multiple chances of "handshaking" with the "Bluetooth messaging" devices that have been set up in the area. We have three products;
Astracasting Lite – is a simple to use system that has been developed to allow a client to manage and operate a single unit or small group of units from a laptop or PC. We supply the software that allows the "Bluetooth messaging" hardware device, to be programmed in order that it can send single or groups of messages to mobile phones. The management software has our own unique IP and is supplied with a user license to install on as many PCs as the client needs to use. The client can then program campaigns to be sent out using a calendar, so that you can run multiple adverts during the week as promotions to find new customers and visitors alike. Using the mini lithium battery pack we supply, the sender device can be deployed remotely for guerrilla marketing campaigns, where you go to where your potential customers gather and market your business to them "off premise".

Astracasting max – has been developed as a hard wired network of units, that can be managed by a centrally located marketing department and allows the client to remotely program the sender devices. This is designed for site operators with multiple sites, who don’t want the hassle of visiting each site to program the hardware devices. Operators can retrieve statistics on usage and can re-program advert campaigns on all or any of the network group that they control. Again this is our own unique software with our own IP.

Voucher-Point - a hard ware package that creates a location based Wi-Fi hotspot that serves locked content to the consumer. One advantage this has over a standard Wi-Fi hotspot is that you control the content that the client downloads and avoid security risks or huge data charges for downloads of web based content that has nothing to do with your products or services. the voucher-point has taken its name from the trials underway where digital smart phone vouchers containing 2d bar codes QR codes etc can be downloaded onto a mobile device to be swiped and redeemed at local stores or attractions by the consumer.
